Contested Wills

Contesting a Will

There might be grounds for contesting a Will.

At Latham & Co we can advise and assist you whether bringing a claim or defending one.

A claim may be brought  where the person who made the Will was under duress or did not have full mental capacity at the time of execution; if the Will was not signed in accordance with the legal formalities; or if the person who made the Will has not made adequate financial provision for a dependant, then it is possible to contest a Will.

At Latham  & Co we can advise and assist upon the merits of any such a claim and assist you with any negotiation or dispute resolution in an attempt to resolve the matter before court proceedings are issued.

If proceedings are issued we can provide you with the necessary representation and advice through the course of such proceedings to ensure you achieve the best possible outcome.

We can meet you to discuss any issues arising out of an estate and any potential claim you may have at either our Melton Mowbray or Loughborough office
