Re-mortgage of a Leasehold Residential Property

The services included in our fees cover the following key stages:

    • We will obtain your deeds from wherever they are held;
    • We will undertake the Local Search;
    • We will prepare and check the Mortgage Deed and send it to you to read through;
    • We will advise you upon the Mortgage Deed and obtain your signature to the same;
    • We will request the Mortgage moneys from the Lender;
    • We will undertake the Land Registry and Bankruptcy  Searches;
    • We will ascertain how much is required to redeem your existing Mortgage and discharge the same once the re-mortgage is completed;
    • We will report completion to you and account by bank transfer for any money due to you;
    • We will register the new mortgage at the Land Registry and
    • We will send to your Lender any deeds they wish to retain passing to you any other documents for you to keep.

How long will my Re-mortgage take

The time it will take to complete your re-mortgage is largely dependent on receipt of your mortgage offer and whether there are any extenuating circumstances that may hold up the process.  The average process takes between 3-4 weeks from receipt of your mortgage offer.
